About me

I was born in Haudenosaunee territory (western new york) to two immigrant parents from India.

I spent my adolescence and early adulthood living one way — thinking I had to sacrifice my deepest desires for others. I came out of it with three degrees, fancy titles, and stage four cancer.

In 2019, I made a choice to leave this path for something more aligned. At that time, I didn’t know what exactly the future held. I just wanted something different, more freeing, more me.

Fast forward 7 years…the universe blew me away with her plan for me. It was MUCH juicer than I had ever imagined…

Today, many countries and stories later, I sit here living the wild, free and intensely passionate life I dreamed of as a child. No, I’m not sitting at the table prim and prom munching on life with a fork and spoon. I’m TRULY living, feasting alongside the joyful, passionate, liberating dreamwork of the universe.

What that looks like for me right now is learning from indigenous elders, living in and caring for nature, creating a beautiful family free from generational abuse, and helping others find their truest path as leaders on this planet.

Life is a gift that is meant to be lived courageously. So, here we are. Want to walk with me for a while?

After a stage four cancer diagnosis and a lifetime of stress and chronic pain, Pooja leaves it all to find answers. AND. SHE. FINDS. THEM.

Recorded live at our Hot Mess show on February 27, 2025 at The Carolina Theatre of Durham. The biggest storytelling event of the southeast.
